From today’s Palm Beach Post re: Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order to reopen the state of Florida:
“The governor’s sweeping order meant that all bars, adult entertainment venues, auditoriums, bingo parlors and comedy clubs in the county were allowed to welcome back patrons for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began sweeping the state in March…
On Monday, dancing was going to be allowed to resume behind Plexiglas barriers at adult entertainment clubs. The same day, auditoriums, bingo parlors, comedy clubs, concert houses and playhouses were going to be allowed to reopen at 50% capacity.”
Strippers are protected from the patrons, but are we separating the patrons with Plexiglas barriers? Or for that matter, are we providing plexiglas barriers for the bingo halls, comedy clubs, playhouses, etc?
What about indoor dining – still considered one of the riskiest activities of this pandemic? Or occupying any indoor space for a prolonged period of time?
Over 14,000 Floridians have died from COVID, but at least I can play bingo again. Thanks, Governor DeSantis!
